Steps To Applying Flawless Foundation

Creating a flawless foundation may appear difficult especially after several attempts that will end up with blotches, patches and caking. When you look at magazines, you will see cover girls with full coverage and flawless foundation—no no caking, streaks, or patches. The truth is, there are tips that you can follow to achieve a flawless foundation application:

•Wash your face.
It is always important to have a clean face before applying foundation. Using a good facial cleanser, gently cleanse your face. Continue to work on a lather. Remember to wash and not rub. Rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water.

•Apply a toner.
Apply a facial toner after washing your face. It removes the excess dirt from your skin. It also removes the residues from your facial cleanser. It not only freshens up your skin but also balances you skin pH after washing. It is best to chill the toner before use to help close your pores.

•Apply moisturizer.
Facial moisturizers help solve issues such as drying, oiliness, and aging of the skin. Most of the moisturizers out in the market contain organic ingredients that help keep the skin healthy-looking. If you have sensitive skin, it is best to choose a moisturizer that has a label saying “non-comedogenic” and “fragrance-free”. For the blemish-prone skin, experts recommend the use of tinted moisturizer. This type helps even out the skin tone and discretely covers the blemishes of the skin. Apply a hefty amount of moisturizer. This is good for the skin since it re-hydrates the face and brings back the lost moisture due to facial cleansing and chemical exposure. Be sure to apply the moisturizer all over the face and the neck. Let it stand for about ten minutes before proceeding to the next step.

•Apply primer.
Apply a primer over your face. This serves as a makeup base for smoother application of make up. Primer can help prolong your makeup application. The advanced formulation of makeup primers helps treat, protect and smooth the skin. It also helps in fighting off the appearance of wrinkles caused by sun exposure and aging. Best buys are those that contain botanical extracts that help diminish redness and blemishes. Some primers also contain sunscreen protection to protect the skin from the harmful UV rays emitted by the sun.

•Choose a foundation.
Select a foundation that is suited to your skin tone. Try on at least three different tones on the back of your hand to determine the best foundation that suits your skin. Apply a small streak from the lower cheek to the upper cheek evenly using a dabbing motion.

•Foundation application.
After choosing the best foundation tone, you can now proceed to coverage. Apply a quarter cent-amount of foundation at the back of your hand. Dip a damp makeup sponge or foundation brush into the foundation. Make sure to keep both sides coated. Apply the makeup in dots over your forehead, cheeks, chin and neck. Blend in an outward motion working toward the hairline and jaw line. Use gentle outward strokes. Finish off by brushing some loose powder over the face and neck.

For a slightly sun-kissed look, apply a hint of bronzer over the cheeks, chin and forehead. Applying your makeup foundation using these methods could help you achieve a flawless look.

All About Skin

19986022_336273233475682_3435608420982456320_n

Oily skin

Oily skin produces more oil than it needs. This oil is a magnet for debris, such as skin cells, makeup and pollution, which then cause congestion inside the pores. Over time, the congestion becomes hardened, just like plaque on your teeth. Look for facials that include a chemical exfoliant (glycolic acid or salicylic acid.) This will penetrate into the pores and melt the congestion. Oily skin also needs extractions to remove any hardened debris within the pores (so long, blackheads!) But don’t try this at home. Extractions are something your esthetician is trained to do safely as part of your facial.

Combination skin

GDF’s favorite skin type to work with, combination skin, has both oily and dry areas, so these areas need to be treated separately. Enzyme, chemical or even microdermabrasion exfoliants work very well, GDF says. Extractions are also needed (usually in the T-zone) to remove congestion, and a professional treatment mask, such as freeze-dried collagen to replenish lost water and soothe the skin.

Sensitive skin

“We have to be careful working with sensitive skin,” GDF notes. All skin needs exfoliation to remove built-up dead skin, but this needs to be done gently. Facials that use enzymes to exfoliate work very well, because they don’t irritate the skin. Also look for products that don’t have excessive fragrances or irritants in them.

Mature skin

Mature skin can be challenging. It can be oily/acne prone, dry/dehydrated or a multitude of skin type combinations. Mature skin also slows down (cell production, circulation), so there are many issues to address. Your esthetician will first treat the type of skin (oily, dry, combination, normal). Then she will have to focus on that slowing process to increase circulation and saturate the skin with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals for healthier, younger looking skin.

Dry skin

Dry skin needs many different treatments, GDF explains. Dry skin lacks natural lipids or oils, making it prone to dehydration. Because of this lack of water, the skin’s natural exfoliating cycle slows down. Facials that include gentle exfoliation (i.e. with enzymes) are a great way to take your skin from flakey to fabulous. Dry skin also needs both oil and water to balance it out, so GDF suggests looking for facials that include masks, which will help penetrate product into the skin. One example is a mask that will rubberize. It may sound a little strange, but any product you put under this type of mask will be pushed into the skin as the mask hardens, leaving your skin feeling hydrated and refreshed.

Foundation Tricks Makeup Artists Use to Make Pores Look Smaller

Large pores are such a bummer. Since pore size is mainly controlled by things like genetics and age, the bad news is that if yours are not so petite, you’ll have to live with it. The good news is that there are lots of skin care products you can use to help minimize the appearance of them. As for makeup, with the right products and a little professional-makeup-artist know-how, you can make your pores look pretty much nonexistent.

Get primed. “To conceal larger pores, it’s important to start with a good primer; that way the makeup won’t accentuate pores. I love Neutrogena Shine Control Primer. It’s weightless and doesn’t feel greasy.” —Daniel Chinchilla, who works with Ariana Grande and Keke Palmer

Even out your skin tone. “Foundation normally exaggerates pores. The best thing to do is even out the skin tone with M.A.C. Studio Face and Body Foundation. If skin is evened out, the pores will blend in better.” —Niki M’nray, who works with Rihanna and Gigi Hadid

Try the Surratt Beauty Surreal Real Skin Foundation Wand. “I have large pores, and I’ve been using this on myself. The finish is gently matte, almost ‘mattine,’ and it really diminishes the look of my pores. Without looking heavy, it evens out the skin, and the wand brush beautifully buffs the product out to near invisibility.” —Fiona Stiles, who works with Gabrielle Union and Chrissy Teigen

Opt for a compact foundation, like Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Fresh and Hydrating Cream Compact. “Using a compact allows for pinpoint coverage in areas where pores are larger. This foundation is light and filled with moisture, making your skin look fresh and your pores lightly concealed, avoiding any clumping of product.” —Robert Greene, who works with Tinashe and Samira Wiley

Or Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation. “It delivers sheer to medium dewy coverage that looks like your skin. Minerals are cut in supersmall particles to reflect light off of the pores.” —Azra Red, who works with Zola Jesus and Sita Abellan

Apply your foundation the right way. “To fill in the pores and blend them, apply the foundation using a synthetic brush in a crosshatching motion. Finish with a soft-focus powder, like the Koh Gen Doh Maifanshi Face Powder to set and bounce the light in the most believable and flattering way.” —Suzy Gerstein, who works with Camilla Belle and Christy Turlington Burns

Try Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup. “This foundation has incredible coverage. It’s a bit heavy, so if you want more sheer coverage, it’s fine to sheer it out with your favorite moisturizer.” —Sarah Tanno, who works with Lady Gaga and Suki Waterhouse

Make sure you have the right tools. “For larger pores, it’s more about the tools than the product. I say Beautyblender all the way. Also, using a stippling brush with your foundation will soften and conceal large pores.” —Edward Cruz, who works with Priyanka Chopra and Kat Graham

Don’t Play Pokemon Go at a Beyoncé Concert

It’s not OK to play Pokemon Go when you’re driving or in a meeting…and it’s especially not OK if you’re at a Beyoncé concert.

One dedicated fan recorded a video of a woman playing Pokemon Go during a Queen Bey concert in Paris last Thursday. Both concert goers were incredibly close to the stage.

He yelled, “This b*tch is finding Pokemon. She’s playing Pokemon when Beyoncé is singing. F*ckin’ Pokemon. Look at where she is! Look at where she is. She’s next to the stage. This is the stage and this bitch is finding Pokemon.”

However, he completely forgets about the ordeal when Beyoncé comes near him and touches his hand.

Don’t mess with the Beyhive! A Beyoncé concertgoer freaked out when he saw a woman playing Pokémon Go at the singer’s concert at Stade de France on Thursday, July 21.

While the “Formation” singer, 34, was on stage, one female attendee, who was right next to the main catwalk, was spotted playing the viral mobile game on her iPhone, angering a male fan seated behind her.

“This bitch is playing Pokémon when Beyoncé’s singing! F–king Pokémon!” the irate Beyhive member shouted in a video posted on his Instagram account. He captioned the post: “She’s lucky Solange never saw her.”

As the fan panned his camera across the Paris-area stadium, which seats more than 81,000 people, he quipped, “Look at where she is. Look at where she is! She’s next to the stage. This is the stage, [and] the bitch is playing Pokémon!”

Seconds later, Beyoncé — who was performing her 2003 single “Me, Myself and I” — walked down the catwalk, turning the upset fan’s frown upside down as she reached out and touched his hand with a big smile on her face.

“Side note I’m never showering again,” he wrote alongside the Instagram video, which has since accumulated more than 33,000 views.

Queen Bey’s French fans aren’t the only ones glued to Pokémon Go. Two days after the “Drunk In Love” songstress’ concert, Rihannagave fans a friendly reminder to put their phones away during herAnti World Tour stop in Lille, France.

“I don’t want to see you texting your boyfriends or your girlfriends,” she warned audience members on Saturday, July 23. “I don’t want to see you catching any Pokémons up in this bitch.”

Tips on Writing a Business Plan

Now that you understand why you need a business plan and you’ve spent some time doing your homework gathering the information you need to create one, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get everything down on paper. The following pages will describe in detail the seven essential sections of a business plan: what you should include, what you shouldn’t include, how to work the numbers and additional resources you can turn to for help. With that in mind, jump right in.

aboss

Executive Summary

Within the overall outline of the business plan, the executive summary will follow the title page. The summary should tell the reader what you want. This is very important. All too often, what the business owner desires is buried on page eight. Clearly state what you’re asking for in the summary.

Business Description

The business description usually begins with a short description of the industry. When describing the industry, discuss the present outlook as well as future possibilities. You should also provide information on all the various markets within the industry, including any new products or developments that will benefit or adversely affect your business.

Market Strategies

Market strategies are the result of a meticulous market analysis. A market analysis forces the entrepreneur to become familiar with all aspects of the market so that the target market can be defined and the company can be positioned in order to garner its share of sales.

Competitive Analysis

The purpose of the competitive analysis is to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the competitors within your market, strategies that will provide you with a distinct advantage, the barriers that can be developed in order to prevent competition from entering your market, and any weaknesses that can be exploited within the product development cycle.

Design & Development Plan

The purpose of the design and development plan section is to provide investors with a description of the product’s design, chart its development within the context of production, marketing and the company itself, and create a development budget that will enable the company to reach its goals.

Operations & Management Plan

The operations and management plan is designed to describe just how the business functions on a continuing basis. The operations plan will highlight the logistics of the organization such as the various responsibilities of the management team, the tasks assigned to each division within the company, and capital and expense requirements related to the operations of the business.

Financial Factors

Financial data is always at the back of the business plan, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less important than up-front material such as the business concept and the management team.

Health Benefits Of Honey

honey

1. Prevent cancer and heart disease:
Honey contains flavonoids, antioxidants which help reduce the risk of some cancers and heart disease.

2. Reduce ulcers and other gastrointestinal disorders.
Recent research shows that honey treatment may help disorders such as ulcers and bacterial gastroenteritis. This may be related to the 3rd benefit…

3. Anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-fungal:
“All honey is antibacterial, because the bees add an enzyme that makes hydrogen peroxide,” said Peter Molan, director of the Honey Research Unit at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.

4. Increase athletic performance.
Ancient Olympic athletes would eat honey and dried figs to enhance their performance. This has now been verified with modern studies, showing that it is superior in maintaining glycogen levels and improving recovery time than other sweeteners.

5. Reduce cough and throat irritation:
Honey helps with coughs, particularly buckwheat honey. In a study of 110 children, a single dose of buckwheat honey was just as effective as a single dose of dextromethorphan in relieving nocturnal cough and allowing proper sleep.

6. Balance the 5 elements:
Honey has been used in ayurvedic medicine in India for at least 4000 years and is considered to affect all three of the body’s primitive material imbalances positively. It is also said to be useful useful in improving eyesight, weight loss, curing impotence and premature ejaculation, urinary tract disorders, bronchial asthma, diarrhea, and nausea.

Honey is referred as “Yogavahi” since it has a quality of penetrating the deepest tissues of the body. When honey is used with other herbal preparations, it enhances the medicinal qualities of those preparations and also helps them to reach the deeper tissues.

7. Blood sugar regulation:
Even though honey contains simple sugars, it is NOT the same as white sugar or artificial sweeteners. Its exact combination of fructose and glucose actually helps the body regulate blood sugar levels. Some honeys have a low hypoglycemic index, so they don’t jolt your blood sugar. (Watch this video Sweetener Comparison where I compare stevia, brown rice syrup, honey, molasses and agave, and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each.)

8. Heal wounds and burns:
External application of honey has been shown to be as effective as conventional treatment with silver sulfadiazene. It is speculated that the drying effect of the simple sugars and honey’s anti-bacterial nature combine to create this effect.

9. Probiotic:
Some varieties of honey possess large amounts of friendly bacteria. This includes up to 6 species of lactobacilli and 4 species of bifidobacteria. This may explain many of the “mysterious therapeutic properties of honey.”

10. Beautiful skin:
Its anti-bacterial qualities are particularly useful for the skin, and, when used with the other ingredients, can also be moisturizing and nourishing! For a powerful home beauty treatment for which you probably have all the ingredients in your kitchen already, read Carrot Face Mask.

Different honeys have different flavonoid profiles, depending on the floral source of the nectar.

Types of Honey (most popular)

Alfalfa
Blueberry
Buckwheat
Clover
Manuka
Orange Blossom
Wildflower
There are at least 40 types – each one has distinctive taste and unique properties.
Darker honey tends to have higher antioxidant levels.
Monofloral honey (honey from a single plant species) usually has the lowest glycemic index (GI). For example, locust honey from the Black Locust tree has a GI of 32. Clover honey, which is used commercially, has the highest glycemic index at 69.

Honey Suggestions:

If you want to get the goodness from your honey, make sure it is pure and raw.
Raw honey contains vitamins, minerals and enzymes not present in refined honey.

Honey Cautions:

Best not to feed to infants. Spores of Clostridium botulinum have been found in a small percentage of honey in North America. This is not dangerous to adults and older children, but infants can have a serious reaction of illness in the first year. Do not add honey to baby food or use as a soother to quiet a fussy or colicky baby. Most Canadian honey is not contaminated with the bacteria causing infant botulism, but it’s still best not to take the chance.
Honey is a sugar, so do not eat jars full of it if you value your good health and want to maintain a healthy weight. It has a high caloric value and will put you on a sugar high and low.
To cook with honey or not: There is some controversy about cooking with honey, although I cannot substantiate it from all of my research about honey.

“…when honey is heated above 108 degrees Fahrenheit, it becomes transformed into a glue-like substance that is extremely difficult to digest. This substance is considered a toxin (ama), since it adheres to the tissues of the body and is very difficult to remove.” (quote from the Ayurveda Wellness Center)

That said, I am not convinced that we should not cook with honey, although I am not using it in most of my cooked recipes until I get to the bottom of this

Dermablend Cover Creme Foundation

A little secret on Dermablend concealer, it gives great coverage, very soft and creamy sold in a tube kinda like lipstick. Make sure your skin is clean before applying the concealer around the eye area. You can also use the concealer as a foundation then set with face powder of your choice.

The Dermablend Makeup which costs around $30 and so far one of the most expensive foundations that I have tried, but does the price live up to its quality?

Ben Nye Total Cover – All Wheel (SK-100)

The first step in doing makeup (at least for me) is having a flawless face to work with. Perfecting the base is something I take time doing, especially with clients I do makeup for. I always have this notion, where in the face, works like a canvass when it comes to makeup. I know it is cliché to say that, as a lot of people who do makeup think of it that way. But that statement is as clear as saying that one needs a flawless face to work with in order to achieve perfection in applying makeup.
shunmua48
Great bases help attain that, which is why I started investing with good ones to help build a decent kit for clients.

GLAM DOLL FACES –  Makeup FACTS:
Ben Nye is a theatrical makeup company – by means of that, it is a heavy duty makeup made to withstand the harsh lights of the industry. It started in 1967 by a famous Hollywood makeup artist; Benjamin Emmet Nye Sr., who was renowned for decades (yes decades) in the said field. A few movies I am familiar with, regarding his work would be Gone With the Wind and Planet of the Apes.
Enough with the trivia, I know you want the review so here it goes.
The shades of the concealer wheel is perfect for a lot of uses. Aside from concealing, it is also perfect for highlighting. I photographed the wheel , but only a few! Here’s the name of each shade (from the right ‘middle one’ in clockwise direction) CC-1, MY-2, MO-11, MY-1, MO-2 and the middle one which is MO-1.
WHAT THE GLAM DOLL THINKS:
The Ben Nye Total Cover-all Wheel in SK-100 is a concealer wheel divided into 6 portions. Although, you may purchase the shades individually, I find it more economical to buy the cover wheel as you get 6 shades for the price of 3. It is a cream based concealer with superb pigmentation. It offers great coverage without making it look thick – it is blendable (I know it is not even a word but you girls get me with that right?) enough to make your makeup look natural and at the same time it has the ability to hide those unwanted marks that you wish to conceal. I tried using this on a birthmark and it covered well. And since it is blends well, you can mix different shades to match the shade of the skin tone that you are aiming for.
